Report Designer | |
Report Designer is the component providing reporting functionality in Million Handshakes. This component includes a graphical tool for designing reports, and a web interface for running and viewing published reports. Reports can also be distributed by email.
Reporting in Million Handshakes Reporting is the process of selecting, formatting and presenting data in user friendly and well known formats. Million Handshakes makes it easy to create reports and present the result in preferred formats on the web. A report can be created in several different well known formats like HTML, PDF, jpg, rtf, excel and more.
Creating reports in Million Handshakes In Report Designer, you can create your own reports using a graphical interface. The process is done in a three simple steps:
- Selecting data
Customer data can easily be selected from the database. This can e.g. be done by using selections. Data can also be selected from other available databases, e.g. existing customer databases. The data is previewed in the same window as the data selection is defined.

- Designing the report
Report Designer provides an easy to use interface for designing the report. This is where the look and layout of the report is created.

This is where the finished report is previewed. This preview displays the report similar as the report is displayed when published.

Using and publishing reports Reports in Million Handshakes can be used and published in several ways:
- Report overview
Users in Million Handshakes can easily run, archive and view an overview of all published reports. Access rights can be controlled for all reports.

- Internet
A report can easily be made available on the internet: Reports can be ran and viewed, and archived reports can be viewed, over the internet. This can be useful when distributing reports internally and externally in your company.

Reports can be distributed by email. As an example, a report can be ran and archived, and thereafter be sent as either an attachment or an internet link, in an email, to a selection of customers.
